The P-EBT benefit was tied to the federal Public Health Emergency established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the program ended with the end of the federal Public Health Emergency on May 11, 2023.The P-EBT benefit amount is equal to $7.10 per eligible child for every day that school meals were not available to your child. They chose the $7.10 figure based on an assumption that lunch is worth $3.75, breakfast is worth $2.35 and a snack is worth $1.
